Heat pumps are becoming increasingly popular as a viable alternative heat source as we all look to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels. There are a number of different options available with air source and ground source being the most popular.
There are many benefits to using a heat pump. There is no need for delivery or storage of bulky fuels and it is extremely cost effective. The heat can be supplied through radiators or through underfloor heating which is a more space saving and aesthetically pleasing option freeing up wall space.
With no need for planning permission heat pumps can quickly and easily be installed with little inconvenience and once installed they require minimum maintenance and have been known to increase the value of properties.
Heat Pumps – Jobs Undertaken
Air Source Heat Pumps – Air source heat pumps are popular because of the relative ease of installation. Air source heat pumps are equally effective in the winter as they are in the summer. With both low & high temperature air source heat pumps manufactured, solutions are readily available for both new & existing buildings.
Ground Source Heat Pumps – Ground source heat pumps offer an extremely cost effective, efficient low carbon system using the naturally ground stored warmth obtained form the suns energy. There is the potential for up to 70% less carbon emissions than a regular oil or gas boiler system. It is effective all year round and can warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
